Munich Waves

On Friday the 4th of June Plattling was even more flooded out than the day before. It was dropping but it was too much water for an event to run anytime soon so the organisers had to cancel unfortunately. This then meant that the standings from Augsburg World Cup counted as the overall results meaning I finished as the 2010 World Cup Mens winner :-)!

As a consolation to the kayakers who’d come for the event Robert Sommer put on a BBQ/ Party/ Prize giving with free drinks, free food and a mechanical bull for everyone, so we had a fun evening to celebrate.

The next day we headed to Munich to surf the Reichenbach wave in the centre of the city. The wave was sick! C1ers Jakette & Zoid told us that it had been twice the size the day before and other great waves had been running all week whilst we’d all been waiting in Plattling. We liked the wave anyway and it was one of the best waves I’ve ever surfed!

Now we’ve got to Lienz in Austria and are getting ready for the Europeans.
